I visited the Pentagon surgery regarding my concerns regarding an infection after a c-section. It was the first time away from my baby and to say I was struggling was an understatement. The staff were so incredible and noticed I was upset. They helped to get me seen as soon as was possible and one of receptionists asked me if I needed a cup of water and a chat which really really helped and made me feel valued and heard. It meant a lot to me that I wasn’t made to feel silly for feeling the way I was and I think it will have a lasting impact on me that the staff were so kind and thoughtful.

The only change would be maybe physically to the space as I felt like I wanted to hide in a corner where I was so upset, but I couldn’t find anywhere I could go that was more discreet as it’s a big open room. I’m sure if I had asked though there was probably somewhere available.

All good if you get an appointment. But getting appointments is big challenge.. this is what i felt when i was attending appointment.

I wish i can arrange straight away calling surgery rather than call centre , thise give me appointment every time in different surgery. Its awful to go every time new surgery , arranging car then looking for parking specially when you are not feeling well.
